Arriving at John o Groats

We arrived very late due to high winds that were howling against us all day and slowed us down considerably, very hard going and completely knackered but exhilirated to finish - 2 days early ( stormy weather forecast)

Very happy its over but also happy to have done it despite all the setbacks.
The important thing was we really stuck together.
Sam was the one who's optimistic mood carried us though all adversity - Top Man ( as he would say)

Over and out.

On the plane to Luton

Nelly has been told off by the stewardess because he was reading during the safety demonstration . An elderly lady in front of us piped up that she wished that everyone would show proper respect for this important issue
We all nodded earnestly in agreement!

Away we go
And
haste ye back!

We would like to thank,

We will try and publish the arrival video later tonight
It's pretty crap but proves we arrived!

Most importantly we would like to thank all of the following people who were there for us when we needed it most ie all of the way:

Dot and Lynette
Judith and Stephen
Adrian Peake
Kevin Marray
AND
Andrew Machell

You were all wonderful in your own special ways and we shall treasure the sight of a thrifty Van forever.

Nelly's final address to his fans:

The morning after the night before. It has sunk in today what the team has achieved .. Cycling the entire length of the country. No mean undertaking for us guys. The fact that the last day was so tough made it feel even more so.

There were times when it was really tough and moments when it was downright miserable but most of the time it was brilliant fun cycling through glorious countryside with a great bunch of mates with lots of laughs all the way. I couldn't have wished to have done this with 3 better guys!!!

A huge thanks to all those who kept sending their good wishes and messages of support it was a constant source of encouragement. Thanks also for the amazing amount of sponsorship. I have come to realise what a great cause it is and how important the CgD trust is to all those affected.

And lastly thank you to our support teams for their unbelievable patience, good humour, constant encouragement and hard work. Because we are blokes we probably never told you how much we appreciated seeing you and the ' thrifty' van at every stop.

Until the next adventure!!

'Nelly'. XXXX
