Hi Guys, I haven't written for a while and thought you might be worried about me!
Great day today through the lake district. Shap fell a 1400 ft climb out of Kendal. OMG knees and lungs were burning by the top but the team absolutely nailed it and it was great to see Adrian and the famous 'thrifty' van at the top with a much needed cold drink. The freewheel down the other side was also brill.
Can't believe were only half way and we haven't even reached Scotland yet!
It's been an absolute giggle so far though. Marwan, Sammy Mac and KP are almost like friends now!!!! The support teams have been awesome too in their differing ways and hugely appreciated by us.
Sitting in Italian restaurant with Peroni beer and plate of local mussels... spaghetti bol to come. KP having medium rare fillet steak ... might nick some off him when he's not looking.
90 miles tomorrow to Kilmarnock hope the weather holds.

Ha Ha- most entertaining, "almost like friends now". What does it take then to become friends- you and Marwan seemed quite cosy in your twin room at Tintern Abbey!!! I see you've embraced your new nickname, Neilyboy becomes Nelly. You just need a bit of sticking plaster to look cool...
